Last September a beautiful girl went to Tehran( The capital city of Iran) from her hometown, “Saqqez”( in the west of the country) to visit some family and friends. One day she was traveling on the metro with her brother when she got arrested by the morality police just for showing a little piece of her hair out of her scarf. She was beaten up and hardly injured. She was hospitalized in the Kasra hospital. It’s been exactly one year since then.
After three days of fighting for life in the hospital room, she lost her life on September 16th, 2022.
People started protesting in little groups in front of the hospital to huge meetings all around the country.
Somebody wrote on a rock behind her grave in the Kurdish language( her mother tongue), “ Dear Zhina you never died, your name would be a symbol(code).
That person was right. Her name was screamed for a whole year, not just in Iran but in every corner of this planet! From Australia to the U.S.A, From Mexico to many countries in Europe.
Even some celebrities supported us, like Chelsea Hart.
We are still protesting and fighting to take down this cruel regime. We are fighting for justice, freedom, and just a normal life. A life that no dictator forces you to live( If we even can call it living!)
